Dr. Khayatan obtained her bachelor of science degree in physiological science from U.C.L.A. and her Doctor of Optometry from UC Berkeley, where she received many awards and honors. She received the California division of the American Academy of Optometry (CAAO) grant award for her clinical research in handheld auto refractors and children with complex needs, as well as the Infant/Toddler Outstanding Clinical Award. She also composed the “Optometric Prescription Writing Reference Booklet” at UC Berkeley.
Dr. Khayatan has served as clinical faculty in the Department of Binocular Vision at UC Berkeley’s Meredith Morgan Eye Center, where she taught children’s vision. She enjoys traveling, dining, tennis, and playing classical piano.
